B1G Championship Game!

Nittany Lions,

We are having a very good year. Our hockey team is ranked #6 and is going strong. Our ladies volleyball team is about to make their 36th consecutive appearance in the NCAA tournament. Oh yeah, our football team is 10-2 and headed to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship game this weekend.
Please join us as we gather to support our team this weekend. The Sebrings will be hosting again at their Penn State Den at Dorado Software, 4805 Golden Foothill Parkway in El Dorado Hills. This is the same place where we watched our Lions break Ohio State. So join us. Bring something to share and lets enjoy some Blue & White comradery as we take down those Badgers.
Let’s get started 4 pm, one hour prior to kickoff, “Tailgate style.” Please RSVP to tamseb@aol.com

P.S. Mark your calendars for March 9-11 when Penn State’s baseball team will visit Sac State for a three game series. Coach Cooper’s staff has reached out to us about organizing an event for the student-athletes when they visit.

PSU Alumni TaxSlayer Bowl Viewing Party

Sacramento-San Joaquin Area Alumni,

The Nittany Lion football team arrived in Jacksonville yesterday for the TaxSlayer Bowl. The game will be a rematch of the classic 1982 National Championship game versus the Georgia Bulldogs. Plus, any time a Big Ten team plays an SEC team, it’s an important opportunity to show that you don’t have to be from Dixie to know football.
The Henkel family has offered to host a gathering on Saturday morning so we can celebrate the football team and get together one last time this football season. Feel free to start showing up between 8:30 and 9 am.

Where: 4604 Elliot Ranch Road, Elk Grove
When: 9 am on Saturday, January 2, 2016
What to bring: something small to share
Any questions? email me (jheebner@gmail.com) or Mike Henkel at Liongrad2001@gmail.com
Hope to see you there!

All signs point to this being a good year for Penn State football. Christian Hackenberg is expected to return to his 2013 success. The offensive line looks stronger. The defense is primed to once again be one of the best in the country.
